Power 93.7 WBLK Presents the ‘Back to School Power Jam’ Community Block Party
Get ready for a day of fun and good vibes WBLK fam! Power 93.7 WBLK, The People's Station, presents our 'Back to School Power Jam' community block party, sponsored by the Buffalo Police Department,the William-Emslie YMCA and the City of Buffalo Ellicott District and President Darius G. Pridgen, on Sunday, September 3rd! Get the details here! There's going to be LOTS of activities going on!
We have teamed up with the Buffalo Police Department, the William-Emslie Family YMCA and the City of Buffalo Ellicott District and President Darius G. Pridgen, to host a back-to-school block party for the community! Officer Moe Badger will be teaching the kids ages 5-12 basketball skills. The YMCA is opening its pool to the public, for FREE!

Say Yes to Education Buffalo will be on site giving away free school supplies and Signature Cutz will be doing free hair cuts for the kids! Signature Cutz was voted the Best Barbershop in Buffalo in 2016 and is the official barbershop of the Buffalo Bills!
Jocelyn Guthrie will be teaching a free Boot Camp class at 2pm and Zumba Instructor Daycia Mcclam will teach a free class at 3pm!

The African American Cultural Center's Dance & Drum Performance Company will be performing at 3:30 pm! Buffalo All-Star Extreme aka B.A.S.E. will be performing as well!
There will also be free food (while it lasts) provided by JJ's Casa di Pizza (11 E Mohawk St, Buffalo, NY 14203)!
The Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries' Book Mobile will be on-site!
New Era Dental will be at the block party giving away toothbrushes and information!
Buffalo All-Star Extreme's Dancerettes and Cheerleaders will be performing at 2:30 pm!
African Heritage Food Co-Op will be on site giving fresh fruit to the kids for snacking!
There will be plenty of health & wellness, educational and other community information available from ECMC, The Community Action Organization of Erie County, Fidelis Care, Buffalo Public Schools, The Buffalo Branch NAACP, Stop the Violence, Diabetes prevention, KeyBank and others!
