Polling Places and Voter Information for Election Day 2012 in Buffalo

All of the political advertisements on the radio and television mean that Election Day is fast approaching. Open elections are a right that we have as Americans, and it’s important that we exercise that privilege we have. Here is some important information concerning the elections coming up and where you can go to vote.

The state and local primary elections will be held on Thursday, September 13, and, of course, the general elections, including the presidential election, will be held Tuesday, November 6.

If you’re an Erie County resident, use this polling place locator tool in order to find out the closest location for you to vote.

There are many qualifications in order to be eligible for absentee voting, including being active duty in the military. If you qualify for an absentee ballot, you must fill out an application prior to the election. Check out the information about absentee voting to find out if you qualify and how to vote using an absentee ballot.

For information on how to vote in Niagara County, visit the Niagara County Voter Information website or call the Niagara County Board of Elections at (716) 438-4040. You can also use the Niagara County polling place locator to find out where you should go to vote.

For information on how to vote in Cattaraugus County, go to the Cattaraugus County Board of Elections website. You can also call them at (716) 938-9111 ext. 2400, ext. 2401, ext. 2402, ext. 2403 or ext. 2405.

For information on how to vote in Chautauqua County, check out the Chautauqua County Board of Elections website, or call them at (716) 753-4580.

For information on how to vote in Wyoming County, contact the Wyoming Board of Elections at (585) 786-8931.

For information on how to vote in Genesee County, visit the Genesee County Board of Elections website, or contact them at (585) 344-2550 ext. 2208 or ext. 2209.
