While sharing the good news about her pregnancy, pop superstar Mariah Carey is also opening up about a very personal moment in her life.  During an interview with "Access Hollywood's" Billy Bush, the Grammy-winning singer revealed that she suffered a miscarriage two years ago.  She states, quote, "It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult."  Carey says she wasn't able to discuss the incident with anyone, adding, quote, "That was not easy."  Prior to her admission of a miscarriage, Carey announced that she and her husband, Nick Cannon, are expecting their first child.  While a due date hasn't been announced, Carey says she will be taking on motherhood sometime in the spring.

Entertainment outlets and gossip blogs have speculated for weeks that Carey and Cannon were expecting a child.  While Cannon openly stated that he looks forward to one day being a father, he never actually confirmed whether or not they had a baby on the way.  Before she enters the world of parenthood, Mariah Carey will be releasing her second holiday album, "Merry Christmas Two You."  The record is due in stores on November 2nd.
