Hearse Stolen From Local Funeral
According to wivb.com, a hearse was stolen during a funeral Wednesday morning from Washington Street. The deceased man's son Joe Brown was assisting with carrying the casket with his fathers remains to the front door when the funeral director told them the hearse was gone. The family allegedly had to wait 30 minutes after the funeral was over for another hearse to arrive.
The funeral took place at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, and the hearse was rented from Mertz & Sons Funeral Home on Englewood Avenue in the Town of Tonawanda.
A Niagara Falls man names Michael Healing has been arrested for involvement with the theft. See the video below.
