Juneteenth is an annual observance on June 19 to remember when Union soldiers enforced the Emancipation Proclamation and freed all remaining slaves in Texas on June 19, 1865. This day is an opportunity for people to celebrate freedom and equal rights in the United States.

The month of June is also African American Music month. And the Arts & Culture stage ran by my new friend Kay Taylor showcased some beautiful talent at the 2013 Buffalo Juneteenth Festival.

I had an opportunity to perform with the Gentleman & Ladies Inc line dance crew as they taught a routine named after me! Check out "The Jazzy T" line dance performed to Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" song.
