There's another ground beef recall in New York State. Cargill Meat Solutions, located in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, is recalling approximately 16,243 pounds of raw ground beef products. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service made the announcement on May 1, 2024.

The ground beef products were produced on April 26 through 27, 2024. The products have an establishment number of "EST. 86P" printed on the back of the label. The products were shipped to Walmarts in New York and nationwide. The products are potentially contaminated with possible E. coli O157:H7.

"Escherichia coli (abbreviated as E. coli) are bacteria found in the environment, foods, and intestines of people and animals. E. coli are a large and diverse group of bacteria. Although most strains of E. coli are harmless, others can make you sick. Some kinds of E. coli can cause diarrhea, while others cause urinary tract infections, respiratory illness and pneumonia, and other illnesses."
