People Have The Most Fun In These New York Cities

The Empire State is a great place to live. There is something for everyone in New York, from the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean on Long Island to the mighty Niagara Falls.

Many people may say that New York State is a pretty fun place to be, and it's not hard to see why people may think that. Just take a look at all of the great tourist attractions, sports teams, amusement and water parks, and countless other things. And of course, we can't forget the nightlife.

The great thing is that we New Yorkers are the only ones who think so. The folks at WalletHub recently surveyed the 182 largest cities in America to determine precisely what city is the most fun in the United States.

That survey looked at more than 60 data points, including entertainment & recreation, nightlife & parties, costs, number of restaurants, and several more, to create a ranking. In doing that survey, several cities from New York popped up on the list.

So, what cities are the most fun in America? What cities are the worst? Most importantly, where do New York's cities fall on this list?

What Cities Are The Most Fun In America

It should be no surprise what cities come up as the top 5: San Francisco in 5th, Atlanta in 4th, Miami in 3rd, Orlando in 2nd, and Las Vegas in 1st as the most fun-filled city in the US.

While Vegas isn't the cheapest place on the planet to hang out, it scores very high marks for partying, 5-star restaurants, and awesomeness.

Rounding out the bottom is Pearl City, HI, which earned very low scores in just about every category - making it the least fun city in America.

How Fun Are New York's Cities?

Four cities from the Empire State landed on this list, and it should be pretty clear that New York City would fare pretty well. In fact, it rounds out the top 10 at 10th place. The Big Apple scores well on its entertainment and recreational options, along with its nightlife.

Buffalo and Rochester both rank in the mid-50s, with Buffalo coming in as the 53rd most fun city and Rochester coming in at 57th.

Perhaps the most surprising ranking on this list is where Yonkers fell, sitting right near the bottom at 178th place. We knew no one really liked Yonkers, but who knew that it was that bad?
