My heart dropped when I came across the photo of 6 year old Ana Marquez-Greene who who fatally shot at Sandy Hook Elementary School Friday morning. Ana looks a lot like my own daughter, who will start elementary school next year! This blog takes a look inside Ana's story and a photo gallery of her fallen teachers and classmates.

 Come, Thou almighty King,
Help us Thy name to sing,
Help us to praise!
Father all-glorious,
O'er all victorious,
Come and reign over us,
Ancient of Days.

AMEN!

This scene of brother and sister singing praise together is every parent's dream. Now Ana's nine-year-old brother, Isaiah is an only child again as he was one of the Sandy Hook students who escaped the shooting unharmed.

The Marquez-Greene family has a deep faith, which is helping them cope with the tragedy. They have also been moved by all of the support and love they received and are at peace knowing that their little angel is resting in heaven.

Ana's dad, Jimmy Greene, is a jazz musician well respected within the industry. Jimmy and his wife Nelba Marquez-Greene were both faculty members at the University of Manitoba's school of music in Canada before the move to Connecticut.

Friday afternoon I had a conversation with a Canadian woman who supports gun control. As a citizen of a country with very minimal firearm homicides, she doesn't understand America's mass shooting that continue to take the lives of young innocent people.

Just think, if the Marquez-Greene family had stayed in their home across the bridge, their little girl would still be alive!
