Another day, another recall. This time, more than 6,000 cases of sugar have been recalled and it affects New York State. Domino Foods Inc. has issued a recall for Domino and C&H Sugar, so check your pantry.

The lots that were affected may have been contaminated, according to BGR. The sugar products may contain metal wire from a broken screen.

The recalled sugar tubs include New York and 21 other states - Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin.

The specific products being recalled are Domino and C&H Granulated Pure Cane Sugar Easy Baking Tub packaged in 3.5-pound plastic tubs with 6 tubs per case.

The following lot numbers, product numbers, and best-by dates are included in the sugar recall:

Lot Numbers: 52362, 52363, 52364, 52365, 52371, 52372, 52373, 52374, 52375, 52411, 52412, 52413, 52414, 52415
Product Numbers: 533031, 433478
Best By: 09/06/25 through 09/09/25, 09/12/25 through 09/16/25, 10/10/25 through 10/14/25

If you have sugar tubs with any of the above lot numbers, product numbers, and best-by dates, you should throw the product out or return it to the store of purchase.

This is the second recall by Domino Foods in recent months. Back on June 18, 2022, the company recalled its Light Brown Sugar. In that case, a bird contaminated the syrup used the manufacture the brown sugar according to an FDA enforcement report.

Domino Foods Inc. is headquartered in Yonkers, New York. The company has been in the sugar business since 1807 and was founded by William Havemeyer and Frederick Havemeyer.
