Local chapters of the Buffalo NAACP, Buffalo-Niagara Falls National Action Network, The Concerned Clergy Coalition of WNY, and the Baptist Ministers Conference of Buffalo & Vicinity collaborate to sponsor a meet the candidate event: “VOTERS UNITED!” where candidates for various political offices meet with citizens to dialogue and convey their respective ideas and plans of action on topics of utmost importance.

The event will take place Thursday, August 31, 2017 @ 6:00 p.m. at Delaine Waring AME Church, 680 Swan Street, Buffalo, NY 14210. Invited candidates include those running for the Erie county offices of Sheriff, Clerk, Legislator, and various judicial posts. All are invited and encouraged to attend.

The NAACP, National Action Network, The Concerned Clergy Coalition of WNY, and the Baptist Ministers Conference of Buffalo & Vicinity are faith-based and civil rights organizations working jointly to promote equality, justice, and peace for all people in the spirit of unity and brotherhood for better communities.

None of the organizations sponsoring this event makes political endorsements of any candidate. We work to educate lawmakers, citizens and other stakeholders on the challenges and opportunities facing our communities, by advocating for more resources and policies that help invest and advance economic
and social equality in our communities. Our goal is to increase voter education, registration and participation among all voters.
