Census Shows Majority of Babies Born in US are Non-White

The Associated Press is reporting that, for the first time in US history white births are trailing behind those of minority births. This change marks a trend in the direction the US population is heading in and could reshape federal government policies.

Another statistic show that there are now more single African American mothers than married African American couples.

These figures are based on the 2009 American Community Survey and are a sample of what can be expected when the US Census Bureau releases its data this summer.
