News broke yesterday that shook up the Buffalo sports world. Sources report that Coach Marrone has decided to bench starting Quarterback E.J. Manuel for this week's game against the Detroit Lions, and has given back up Quarterback and recent signee, Kyle Orton the green light to start this Sunday. After starting 2-0 this year, the Bills have lost both of their last two games leading many to think that a 'major' change was definitely necessary. "It's not all EJ's fault, but we need to get better production, obviously, out of that position," coach Doug Marrone said Monday. "We have to make adjustments. We've got to make some changes, because we can't keep going in the direction that we're going."

You have to wonder what this is going to do to the young Quarterback's confidence which leads me to believe that the Bills are done with Manuel all together. Personally, I always felt that a Quarterback is merely the reflection of the organization. Anyone can be molded and motivated to be great. Marrone assures us that it's just a 'right now' thing:

"It gives him a chance to just step back for a moment, look at things that, you know, we can work on and correct," Marrone said. "And again, he'll have to have some thick skin through this. And you've got to fight, and that's usually what happens in life to get what you want, you're going to have to fight for it.

"I think that he'll be able to grow, I think he'll be able to handle it well from my conversation with him. And he'll be able to continue to grow as a quarterback."

Manuel started 14 games for the Bills after being selected 16th overall in the 2013 draft, posting a 6-8 record. As far of Coach Marrone, it's without question his job is on the line after failing to turn things around in Buffalo.

What do you think? Do you agree with the Bills decision to bench E.J. Manuel?
