If you’re anything like me, then you are not a major football fan. You dread football season because you know your significant other will now be ignoring you every Sunday, for the next several months. I mean why are these guys being paid millions of dollars to run around in capris and push one another anyway?

Of course, there is much more to football then stiff arms and men’s pedal pushers, there is an actual game and logic to the madness. Yet I would rather not sit through a game to try to figure it out. As a result, I’ve come up with different things to do while football season rages on.

    Shop

Leave the house. At a time like this, there are plenty of things to do. It’s the eve of the holiday season; it never hurts to get an early start on Christmas shopping.

  • 2

    Meet up with friends

Hang out with friends who are also Nay Sayers to the game of Football. There are plenty of people who share your pain and would rather be doing anything other than watching football.

  • 3

    Exercise

Let the football players inspire you to get up and get out, enjoy a good run and get your heart rate going. Get an even earlier start on your New Year’s Resolution to get healthy.

    Cook

Who doesn’t love a home cooked meal? If you’re not up to slaving in the kitchen for extended periods of time, find a cool new recipe to try or make appetizers for your loved ones who are watching the game, to enjoy.

    Get into the Game

Last but not least, you know what they say, if you can’t beat them join em! It’s perfect weather for a neighborhood flag football game. Make it fun by incorporating a prize or dinner for the winning team. Go out afterwards for eats and drinks. Anything, just make sure you’re not playing tackle!
