A Go-To To-Go Meal — 15 Buffalo Food Trucks to Try

Buffalo has always been well known for its good-tasting food — i.e., chicken wings and beef on weck. But you don’t necessarily have to go to a restaurant to find some good eats in Western New York. You can walk down the street and find a serviceable food truck that suits your need instead. Here is a list of some of the food trucks around Western New York, what they offer and how you can find out more about their locations.

Lloyd Taco Trucks

These guys serve up Mexican-American tacos all morning, afternoon and night long. Their menu features 5-inch soft-shell tacos that can be filled with chimichurri chicken, braised beef, tomatillo pork or stewed black beans. They also have 12-inch burritos that can be filled to the brim with the same options. Other options include nachos (regular or "tricked-out"), quesadillas, a few sides and dessert. The Lloyd Taco Truck isn't stationary; it moves around quite a bit. Check out its website or Facebook page to see where the truck will be each day.

This truck has a bunch of burgers -- even a veggie burger -- on the menu. Throw in some beef on weck, a chicken sandwich and fried bologna, and you've got some Buffalo classics to choose from. Then, of course, they have the American classic hot dog, french fries and onion rings for the Plain Janes out there. The Roaming Buffalo certainly does roam around, so you need to check out its website and go to the calendar to see where they will be on a certain day, or go to its Facebook page and check their posts.

Knight Slider is the latest food truck to hit the streets of Buffalo, and the menu has five different sliders to choose from, with the majority of them referencing the 'Knight Rider' TV show. Knight Slider uses locally grown produce from the North Tonawanda Farmer's Market and its own secret meat mixture from Pellicano’s in North Tonawanda. This food truck makes rotational stops at Roswell Park, First Niagara Center and Northpointe in Amherst. At the end of each day, Knight Slider donates its leftover food to St. John’s Grace Episcopal Church in Buffalo. Check out its Facebook and Twitter to see where the truck will be each day.
