What Food Defines America?

A recent post on Instagram from England has opened the door for a lot of questions about being an American.

Apparently, there is an "American" food aisle in a grocery chain in England and one of the customers wondered if it was an accurate depiction of American Food.

So what food defines America? It is a hot dog, apple pie, BBQ? What do you think?
