Vandals Strike At Popular Southtowns Playground

The spring and summer months mean it is time to get back to the playground and it looks like some cleanup is also going to happen at one popular spot in Hamburg.

In a report from over the weekend, the Village of Hamburg police said that the community playground on Prospect Avenue was vandalized overnight (4/10-4/11). Any information that would help our department's investigation would be greatly appreciated. Our kids play on the playgrounds around the village and have had a great experience so far this spring. It is great to meet new friends and not only for the kids. Just last week I was able to meet a dad from a few blocks away. It is great to be able to chat with another adult/dad while the kids play on the swings and the slides. The playground for us is not only a great place for our boys to get some fresh air and burn off some energy, it is a meeting place for friends and a great staple in our community.

Hopefully this is just an isolated incident and a random prank.
