
This Day in History for June 8 – MLK Assassin Arrested
On this day back in 1968 investigators with Scotland Yard arrested James earl Ray in London England for the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
James Earl Ray was accused and convicted of shooting Dr. King as he stood on the balconey of a hotel in Memphis Tennessee.
Investigators stopped Ray before he was able to board a plan for Belgium and eventually Rhodesia (now called Zimbabwe). read more at history.com.
