R. Kelly has left a Chicago jail after posting $100,000 bail on Monday (Feb. 25). Reporters for Chicago Sun-Times reported the news earlier this evening.

The embattled singer was arrested last week on charges that he sexually abused four people dating as far back to 1998, including three underage girls. He'd entered Cook County Jail on Friday (Feb. 22).

Details of the allegations against Kelly were released on Saturday (Feb. 23) when prosecutors released indictments of each of the accusers all detailing alleged sexual acts with the singer when they were underage. If convicted, Kelly could receive a maximum of seven years in prison for each count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. There are 10 counts in all.

Earlier today, Kelly entered a not guilty plea as his lawyer, Steve Greenberg, informed the judge that he was working on getting the $100,000 bail for his release. Greenberg has maintained his client’s innocence in the case and believes all the women who've leveled accusations against Kelly in the case are lying.

The State's Attorney Kim Foxx said that Kelly’s arraignment is set for March 8.

Outside of the jail, a mob of photographers and reporters clamored to get footage of R. Kelly as he was walking out of the jail with his attorney by his side. He and Greenberg hopped in an awaiting black luxury van and left the scene. Kelly's first stop was a local McDonald's.
