The Erie County Fair is a great tradition for families all over Western New York. However, it may cost you a little more to attend in 2020.

The Town of Hamburg is trying to come up with a way to close it's budget gap.

One of the ideas is to place an event tax of some of sort, on tickets and parking for The Erie County Fair. Currently, the Erie County Agricultural Society doesn't pay tax on much of the 250+ acres it sits on. That may have to change soon.

According to  report from Channel 7:

One council member suggested surcharges on event tickets and parking. To do so, the town would have to come to an agreement with the Erie County Agricultural Society, which runs the fairgrounds.
