I've been getting a lot of attention on my new straighter smile, especially on Instagram, so I wanted to update you all on my progress with Invisalign with Owl Orthodontics.

First off, I want to say that a big reason I chose Owl Orthodontics is their credentials: They are a Diamond Invisalign provider, which means they are in the top 1 percent of orthodontists providing Invisalign. I also like how they have a great payment plan, so don't let rumors about cost scare you away from getting a straight smile — It's never too late to get the perfect pearly whites you want.

The process is really convenient, too. I go into the office every three months (or every 12 trays) so Dr. Walla can check on my progress. I've finished using about six trays of my 72-tray plan, so I've learned a few things along the way:

1) My teeth do get a little sore for the first couple of days I'm using a new tray. Sometimes I eat applesauce to avoid taking the trays out because those first few days it also hurts to take them out — like taking off a Band Aid. It's still exciting to think that you're one step closer to straighter teeth, though.

2) You're supposed to wear the tray 22 hours a day, only taking it out to eat, drink, floss and brush. I've never went more than an hour with a tray out, though. My thing is if it's suppose to fix my teeth, I'm not going to play with them. But if I were to take them out for any long period of time, I would factor that into another day without taking them out.

3) The Invisalign app is great and easy to use. You can track your progress by taking pictures with each tray, and they save the pictures in the app and create a video at the end. The app also allows you scan the packing each tray comes for exact days to put in a new tray. Yes, it reminds you to change them. How cool is that? I take tracking pics every 3 weeks, so don't worry, I'll show you all my progress soon.
