Nicki Minaj caused a stir this week at the BET Awards after shading females in the game right now (clearly directed at Iggy Azalea) for not matching her ability to write her own music.

The Jamaica Queens diva let a few days pass before addressing the issue on her Twitter, clearing up the allegations of throwing “shade” in the game. Check out her tweets:

I love the entire Nicki Minaj makeover of 2014. This response from Nicki makes me feel as though she is trying to be the unifying factor between all of the female artists in game. I’m anxious to see how this pans out for the next few days; we do tend to blow things out of proportion as media, so maybe Nicki really meant to be inspiring rather than harsh with her speech at the 2014 BET Awards.
