Don't think those tweets from Lil Wayne about Cash Money Records not releasing his album 'Tha Carter V' were really from him? Well, guess again. The embattled Young Money leader has confirmed that he's ready to move on from the storied label.

According to VIBE, while performing on stage at VICE's 20th birthday celebration in Brooklyn on Friday (Dec. 5), Weezy addressed the drama and put Cash Money on blast again so we know it's real.

He told the audience that he was now in a "bad situation" and promised that he "will be out of it soon." He also stated, “I do it for y’all. So put your motherf---in' fives up for 'Carter V.'" The 'Believe Me' rapper then went on to give the crowd a great show.

This confirmation comes after Wayne's manager, Cortez Bryant, told TMZ that everything was all good in the YMCMB familia.

Lil Tunechi's fans, on the other hand, are starting to get impatient with the wait and haven't been afraid to expressed their feelings via the internet. An online petition was created urging Cash Money to release 'Tha Carter V' before Christmas.

"We the fans have truly been looking forward to a new release and hope you will reconsider your decision not to release it," reads the petition.
