Lancaster Police Warn Of Bears In The Town

There is a bear that has been spotted in Lancaster and it has prompted officials to shut down a trail.

According to the report on Facebook from Lancaster Police:

As a precaution, the Heritage Trail will be temporarily closed between Cemetery Road and Pavement Road due to a sighting of a Black Bear. The sighting was called in by a resident in the area of Pavement Rd and Nichter Road and was verified by Patrol who located tracks in the area. 

Police have asked anyone to "Please stay off the Heritage Trail in this area until further notice".
