Kanye West Goes Off On ‘Sway In The Morning’

Kanye West has been making his rounds on radio this week, talking about his partnership with adidas, the fashion world and 'Watch the Throne 2,' among other things. But during his interview on Shade 45's 'Sway in the Morning' radio show Tuesday (Nov. 26), things got heated between the rapper and host Sway Calloway.

During their conversation about the fashion industry, Sway asked West why he doesn't "empower himself" and independently release a clothing line instead of asking for corporate America to back him. In response, West simply snapped.

"You ain't got the answers!" he screamed. "You ain’t got the answers, Sway! You ain't spent 13 million dollars of your own money trying to empower yourself!"

Sway explained that he actually did spend thousands of dollars to establish his clothing line, but failed at it. West responded back, “And it ain’t no Ralph [Lauren] though. What’s the name of your clothing line? We don’t know.”

"You ain’t got to turnt up," Sway added, "This ain’t no f---ing show, I’m talking to you as a homie."

After they both calmed down, 'Ye apologized for his outburst. “I love you man. I’m sorry,” he said.

From there, the interview went smoothly as West talked about his protege Big Sean and crowned Drake as the new "Hottest MC in the Game."

Meanwhile, on the Juan Epstein podcast show, West talked about his production style and the day he met Michael Jackson.

The G.O.O.D. Music leader recalled meeting the King of Pop at Lyor Cohen’s house and encouraging him to sing. The end result was the ballad-heavy 2008 album, '808s & Heartbreak.' You can watch the Juan Epstein interview below.
