Remember that 17-year playoff drought? I know, so do I, and it was not fun.

The likes of Gregg Williams, Mile Mularkey, Dick Jauron, Perry Fewell, Chan Gailey, Doug Marrone and Rex Ryan at head coach.

Players like J.P. Losman, Trent Edwards, E.J. Manuel, Tyrod Taylor and Nathan Peterman at quarterback, although Tyrod was the QB when the drought ended.

All that is gone now, and it’s because of number 17.

Mike Girardi of The NFL Network reported that after talking with people at the 2022 NFL Combine, it’s clear that Buffalo is now a destination for players around the NFL.

They want to come to Buffalo to play because of Josh Allen. They know this is a place to win a championship and number 17 is a player everyone wants to play with.

Allen’s progression from 2018-2022 is remarkable. Allen’s the prototype for how much a raw quarterback can grow. He’s now one of the three best quarterbacks in football (Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers).

It’s so cool that players want to come to Buffalo now. It’s such a far cry from what was happening even just 10-15 years ago. Heck, 5 years ago. My whole football watching life, basically.

Josh Allen has changed the course of the Bills franchise and the mental peace of mind of Bills Mafia.
