Fans have been waiting patiently for J. Cole to release his Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation album—and it looks like it’s going to arrive sooner than later.

During the Dreamville leader’s Q&A YouTube chat session before he debuted his new video for "Middle Child" on Monday (Feb. 25), Cole answered a few questions about the project. When a fan asked him when is he going to drop ROTD3, he replied back with a month for the release date.

"ROTD is being finished right now, post-production shit," he wrote. "Tracking out songs, sequencing then editing, then we gotta mix. We're shooting for April."

This is good news for Cole fans. If the North Carolina rhymer keeps his word it would also be perfect timing as well. The Dreamville Festival is expected to take place at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, N.C. on April 6.

There's not a lot of information about the project. But what we do know is that over 106 artists were invited to a 10-day recording session in Atlanta from January 6-16. 2018 XXL Freshman J.I.D was one of the numerous artists who pulled up. Producers T-Minus, No I.D., Swizz Beatz and North Carolina's own 9th Wonder were invited to the recording session as well.

In the meantime, J. Cole's new video for "Middle Child" is out. The King Mez-directed clip features the multiplatinum-selling artist ignoring Grammy trophies and celebrating the reward that really matters: the heads of his rap rivals. Check out the video below.
