Buffalo Bills Grab Key Victory In Pittsburgh Against The Steelers, Win 26-7
Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season is really a space where football fans around America are truly starting to get a glimpse of what the playoff picture will look like. Several teams had games this week that are going to change what the postseason will look like.
This was exactly true for both the 6-5 Pittsburgh Steelers and the 7-4 Buffalo Bills, whose playoff hopes would be greatly influenced by which team wins. This game was one of those situations where if you win, your playoff chances are very good, while if you lose, you're on the outside looking in.
What started out slow for both teams, with punts happening on both sides quickly turned against the Steelers after the Bills' offense and defense stepped up to shut down Pittsburgh on both sides of the ball.
The Bills Grab A Much-Needed Victory In Pittsburgh
Both teams had a hard time moving the ball at the beginning of the game, with Buffalo losing two early turnovers, with Josh Allen throwing an interception and James Cook losing a fumble early in the game. It wasn't until the second quarter that either team put any points on the board, with Pittsburgh's Jaylen Warren scoring on a 1-yard run to give the Steelers a 7-0 lead.
As the second quarter came near a close, the Bills put thier first points on the board with Matt Prater kicking a 27-yard field goal to make the score 7-3 going into halftime.
The second half of football was a much different game than the first half as both the Bills' offense and defense woke up and got to work. Things got started for the Bills when Joey Bosa got a big sack on Aaron Rodgers, forcing a fumble, which was picked up by Christian Benford, who returned it 17 yards for the Bills' first touchdown of the game.
That marked the point where the Bills did not look back, scoring a total of 26 points against the Steelers with Josh Allen tossing a touchdown pass to Keon Coleman and then later scoring his 78th career rushing touchdown, a record for quarterbacks in the NFL.
James Cook once again solidified his position as one of the best running backs in the NFL as he gained 141 yards on 30 carries, as the Bills' offense also set a rushing record in Pittsburgh's stadium.
This win gives the Bills an 8-4 record and helps them keep pace for a wildcard spot in the playoffs, while the loss knocks Pittsburgh out of first place in the AFC North and currently out of playoff contention.
There is still a lot of football left to play this year, and the whole Bills Mafia is ready for the Bills to come back home on Sunday, December 7, 2025, to host the 4-8 Cincinnati Bengals at Highmark Stadium.
