While the Buffalo Bills are the talk of the town the Buffalo Sabres are getting ready for the 2024-25 campaign.

There's a lot of pressure on this team. They have the longest playoff drought in pro sports at 13 straight seasons, tied with the New York Jets. It's also the longest playoff drought in NHL history. They will look to finally put an end to it with a refreshed roster and new head coach.

The winningest coach in Sabres history, Lindy Ruff, gets back behind the bench for a team that itself admits to needing more accountability. They brought in key depth and gritty players to fill out their roster in a more balanced way. Those players also add more speed to the roster. The team seems to have a solid goalie tandem in starter Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who finally had a breakout season last year, and second-year tendy Devon Levi who many say will be a star in the near future.

The team did not fulfill their hope of bringing in a top 6 forward after buying out Jeff Skinner. Right now it appears they are banking on rebound performances from Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch, as well as breakout performances from Jack Quinn, JJ Peterka, and perhaps rookie Jiri Kulich to put the biscuit in the basket.

Here's the Sabres training camp roster.
