
Reported Tornado Does Damage In Western New York
Severe weather on Monday led to a possible tornado doing damage in Western New York.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo is currently investigating a possible tornado that touched down in Cattaraugus County on Monday evening.
Tornado Reported In Western New York
Heavy damaging winds were reported between 5:30 and 6:30 pm on Monday night, and the reported tornado left several buildings damaged in the area.
Homes in the Great Valley area suffered the most damage, with debris and fallen trees around the area. Crews with National Grid were also on site trying to restore power to residents and businesses.

It could take a couple of days to confirm if a tornado actually formed and touched down in the area.

The good news is that it seems like the severe weather on Monday was a one day only event. Things look to improve over the next 24-48 hours across Western New York. Today's weather forecast is calling for sunny skies with a high near 70. Warmer weather is also expected tomorrow with more sunshine expected and a high near 76.
More Thunderstorms Expected This Week
Rain and Thunderstorms are expected to be back in the area on Thursday and it looks like that rain will continue on Friday and into the weekend. Rain is expected on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
