Our very summer-like weather we had this weekend across Western New York is set to come to an end today as a cold front is expected to move through the area.

Severe Weather Today In Western New York

That cold front is going to bring a chance of heavy rain downpours and thunderstorms across the 716. That rain should move into the area around 2-3 pm with most of the severe weather expected to be in the Southtowns and near the New York/Pennsylvania border.


Heat Advisory Still In Place For Parts of New York

While it won't be as hot as it was over the weekend in Western New York, a heat advisory is still in place for parts of Central New York. That heat advisory is in place from 11 am until 6 pm tonight for Monroe, Wayne, Northern Cayuga, Oswego, Livingston, and Ontario counties. The heat index could be in the mid to upper 90s with some spots reaching triple digits.

As we move past today's weather, things will become more stable. We are looking for a mix of sun and clouds for the rest of the week with temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s
