Now is the time to ensure you have all your winter gear ready. A cold front is pushing through New York State this weekend, and there will be plenty of snow for parts of state.

Almost all of New York State will get at least an inch of snow over the week, some locations near Lake Erie and Lake Ontario could see over two feet of lake effect snow over the weekend.

Lake Effect Snow warnings have already been issued for parts of Western and Northern New York through Monday Night.

If you are traveling this weekend in New York make sure to have a snow brush, ice scraper, and other winter necessities in your vehicle just in case you become stuck somewhere.

Also, remember to give plenty of room to snow plows when they are on the streets this weekend while they are out clearing out the streets.
