It looks like Mother Nature is not quite ready to give up Summer here in Western New York. While many of my neighbors have already put out the pumpkins and mums on their porches, they will be able to work on their suntans this weekend too.

Record Heat This Weekend In Western New York

The first full weekend of October will feel like anything but October. A massive warm front is bringing summer-like weather to the 716 on Saturday and Sunday.

While we are expecting Saturday to be mostly sunny with a high of 81, the record-breaking weather will be here on Sunday. The current high temperature at the Buffalo airport for October 5th is 86 degrees, which was set back in 2007.

The current forecast models have the high temperature for Buffalo on Sunday between 85 and 88 degrees, which means we could set a new record if everything plays out the right way.


Cool Fall Weather Returns To Western New York Next Week

These near record highs are not going to last, though. We are back into cooler temperatures on Tuesday as storms are expected to move across the region in the afternoon. Those storms will be followed by a cold front that will drop our temperatures back into the 50s and 60s as we make it through the first full week of October.
