“Big Money” Powerball Winner In New York State

The final Powerball drawing of 2025 turned out to be very lucky for one lottery player in New York State.

There was one "Big Money" winning Powerball ticket sold in New York State from last night's drawing. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number. That ticket won the 3rd-place prize of $50,000.

There were also 43 4th-place winning tickets sold in New York. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers but missed the Powerball number. 39 of those tickets won $100 each, while the other 4 tickets had the Powerplay and won $1000 each.

On top of those winners, there were also 95 5th-place winning tickets sold in New York State. Those tickets matched three out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number. 83 of those tickets won $100 each, while the other 12 had the Powerplay and won $1000 each.

There was no grand prize winner from last night's Powerball drawing. There was one $1 million dollar 2nd-place winning ticket sold in Mississippi.
