
Three “Big Money” Powerball Winners In New York
Saturday night's Powerball drawing paid off big for several lottery players in New York State.
The New York State Lottery announced that there were three "Big Money" winning Powerball tickets sold in New York State from Saturday's drawing. All three of those tickets matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number to win $50,000.
There was no grand prize winner from Saturday's Powerball drawing, so the jackpot for Monday's drawing is now up to $100 million dollars.
Saturday's winning Powerball tickets were 16-22-44-45-53 with a Powerball of 19.

Saturday's Powerball drawing wasn't the only chance New Yorkers had a chance to win big this weekend. Friday's Mega Millions, which was the second under the new format, paid off big to several lottery players.
There were 17 4th and 5th place winning Mega Millions tickets sold in New York from Friday's Mega Millions drawing which each one of those tickets winning at least $1000. There were also two forth place tickets that matched four out of five numbers that had the 10x multiplier and won $5000.
Officials with the Mega Millions said the new format is producing more winners with bigger payouts. The first two drawings have been done so far in New York, with a total of 30 total winning tickets sold in New York that won at least $1000.
No one claimed the grand prize with the Mega Millions on Friday, so the jackpot for Tuesday's drawing is up to $96 million dollars.
Mega Millions ticket prices jumped from $2 to $5 per ticket.
