If you were hoping to get a break from the cold bitter temperatures we had in January it looks like you are going to have to wait a little bit.

According to the Old Farmer's Almanac's long-range forecast, we are looking at a colder than normal February across New York State. It is expected to be drier in the month of February as well so we shouldn't see as much snow as we did last month.

Starting out in Western New York, The Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for temperatures to be around 4 degrees colder than normal.

In Eastern and Northern New York, that cold trend will continue with the average temperature expected to be around 2 degrees cooler than normal.

In Central New York and along the Southern Tier, temperatures are expected to be around 3 degrees cooler than normal for the month of February.

Most of New York State will see mostly rainy condition today before another cold front is expected to move across the State starting tonight and heading into the week.

Snow showers are expected to move into the state late tonight with flurries possible over the next several days. We could also see freezing rain for parts of the state which could end up making travel difficult.

If you will be on the roads this week, make sure you are careful and give yourself plenty of extra time to get where you need to be.
