Northern Lights Will Shine Bright Tonight In New York

A solar flare that will impact the Earth's astrosphere tonight is set to allow much of New York State to see the Northern Lights tonight.

The solar flare emitted from the sun on Tuesday is set to pass Earth tonight and will end up pushing the Southern boundary of the Northern Lights deep into the southern part of New York State.

This year has been a very active year for the sun and we have had several chances to see the Northern Lights in New York, which is very unusual.
