Another cold front will be moving across the area and besides a drop in our temperatures, the National Weather Service is calling for several inches of snow with this storm.

The area could get anywhere between 4 to 7 inches of lake effect snow and it could be even more in the higher terrains of the Southern Tier.

Along with the snow with be windy gusts of up to 45 miles per hour that could cause whiteout conditions for anyone on the roads. The lake effect snow will be in narrow bands so you could see the road conditions change drastically in just a matter of minutes.

The Winter Weather advisory will be in place from Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm and last until Thursday at 1 pm.

While this snow won't be as bad as it was a couple of weekends ago, some people still have piles of snow on their lawns, sidewalks, and roads and this could lead to possible issues with clearing out areas near your home.

Looking ahead. the weather will be a little bit better for the area heading into the weekend. On Friday we will see a bit of a warm-up with temperatures in the mid-40s and then could see a high near 55 on Saturday before another cold front will be colder temps on Sunday. The high on Sunday is only 40 degrees.
