This week seems to be the week when many people will take down their Christmas decorations and their trees. This year, instead of tossing your tree to the curb, you can drop it off and give a tasty treat to goats in Western New York.

Donate Your Christmas Tree To Goats In Western New York

Once again, the owners of Let's Goat Buffalo are taking donations of old Christmas trees. The trees are like sweet treats for the goats on the farm. There are some stipulations you need to abide by if you want to drop off your tree.

Everything Must Be Taken Off The Tree - You must make sure that all items that were placed on the tree, like tinsel, ornaments, lights, and anything else be taken off the tree. Goats will eat just about anything, so if things are left on the tree, it could hurt the goats.

No Spray On Trees - If you want to donate your Christmas tree, you must make sure that nothing was spayed on the tree. Fake snow, flame retardants, and odor sprays can hurt the goat when they eat the trees.

If you want to drop off your tree for the goats, you are encouraged to book a drop-off time with Let's Goat Buffalo. You can contact them HERE.

If you don't want to drop off your tree with the goats, you are encouraged to reach out to your town's waste management department to find out where and when you can dispose of your tree. Many towns will pick them up on garbage day, while other towns let you drop them off at certain locations.
