It doesn't matter where you go, who you talk to, or what you're doing; there is always a way to connect it to Buffalo. Whether you have Buffalonians heading the US Supreme Court or people sporting a Bills logo worldwide, if it's happening somewhere, there's a link to the 716.

That link even goes to one of the biggest shows to ever air on television, which is responsible for some of the best entertainers in the world. Over the weekend, that link led right back to Western New York.

Buffalo Born Singer Wows Judges On American Idol

Starting in the summer of 2002, American Idol is a singing competition show that has given thousands of people the opportunity to showcase their skills to some of the biggest names in the music business. Over the last two decades, the show has brought us some of our favorite singers in the world.

Thanks to this show, we've fallen in love with singers like Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Fantasia Barrino, Jennifer Hudson, and countless others, and it has helped launch all of their careers.

Over the weekend, Buffalo was on full display for Idol judges Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Lionel Richie when Jamier Jones came up to sing his rendition of Lose Control by Teddy Swims.

To say that the judges were impressed by Jones' ability to take command of this song would be an understatement.

Jamier Jones, who lives in Buffalo and auditioned for the show last year, has been singing for years and was able to punch his ticket to Hollywood to show off his skills.

Way to go, Jamier. Great job!
