Buffalo is the king of bar food. There's no doubt that Western New York's food scene is one of the best places in the country.

Wings are the number one food. That's followed by beef on weck, along with pizza logs, spaghetti parm, sponge candy, etc.

Buffalo is also known for its fast food places. Not McDonald's, Wendy's or Burger King, but the locally-owned places that have been around a long time in Western New York.

Jim's SteakOut, Elmwood Tacos and Subs, Mighty Taco, etc.

Speaking of Mighty Taco, there's another awesome fast food taco place that is the most underrated taco place in Buffalo.

It's called Burrito Bay and has been a north town staple for the past 20 years. It's located in the Getzville Plaza on Millersport Highway in Getzville. It's down the road from UB's north campus and the Northtown Center.

Burrito Bay is also home of the "glutton burrito," which might be the largest burrito you have ever seen before. They sell tacos, burritos, taco salads, rice, beans, desserts and a lot more. For the life of me, I never understood why they didn't become more popular or created more locations.

What's amazing about Western New York is that for all the great local places we love and talk about, there are way more that we don't talk about enough. Whether they're in the north towns, south towns or in the City of Buffalo.

After going to major cities, you realize that nobody has the influx of locally-owned restaurants and the passion for those places like Western New York and the City of Buffalo.

Burrito Bay is worth a visit if you have never been.
