New Bills Wide Receiver Takes a Shot at Old Dolphins QB?

You certainly can't say that Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane doesn't make the off-season entertaining.

It's been a hectic last eight days at One Bills Drive, as the Bills have made plenty of roster moves in the first week-plus of free agency.

Buffalo has signed the following free agents:

• Connor McGovern (OL)
• Deonte Harty (WR)
• Trent Sherfield (WR)
• Kyle Allen (QB)
• Damien Harris (RB)

Harris was the latest signing last night, as the Bills replaces running bacj Devin Singletary, who opted to sign a one-year deal with the Houston Texans an hour before news of the Harris signing broke. Harris' deal is also one year, as he leaves the New England Patriots.

Sherfield comes from another Bills rival, the Miami Dolphins, where he caught a career high 30 passes; mostly from Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Sherfield met with the Buffalo media on Monday and one comment made some headlines, and ruffled some feathers with current Miami wide receiver Tyreek Hill -- who has been a Bills advisory since his days with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Sherfield said, "if you want to be an elite receiver, come and play with an elite quarterback."

The quarterback Sherfield is referring to is Josh Allen but Hill and others think this is an indirect shot at Tagovailoa.

While it was assumed as a shot at Tua, Sherfield assures it wasn't.

Another interesting tidbit is Sherfield says Miami's offense was all about timing. Meaning, receivers had to be in a certain spot because the pass was scheduled to be there. Quick and rhythm. He says the Bills offense also predicates that but it's more free with Josh Allen and his skillset.
