This restaurant closed most of their stores during the pandemic.  But they're coming back this year, and they're starting in Buffalo.

Those who remember Boston Market restaurants remember the home cooked feel the food had.  They served things like rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, macaroni and cheese, and more.

Then they unfortunately closed.  As of March of 2024, they were down to just 27 stores in the entire country, Restaurant Business Online cited.

Boston Market is planning a comeback

According to Buffalo Business First, the owner of the Boston Market Brand, Jignesh "Jay" Pandya, has already received hundreds of inquiries about reopening restaurants all over the country.  He’s licensing the concept to other owners who recognize the potential of the brand because the current business is not set up to accept franchisees.

“The brand loyalty is beyond phenomenal. The food is great – it reminds us of nostalgia and how we grew up with it. The brand was a part of American culture, like McDonald’s was. … It’s got its ups and downs, and little by little, we see it steadily growing back.” - Jay Pandya

The Boston Market Comeback Starts In Buffalo

Good news for Boston Market fans in Buffalo.  This isn't one of those things that will start in other parts of the country as an experiment and if it works will eventually come our way.  There is a store in Western New York that has already started to reopen.  They already held a soft opening at 4185 Maple Road in Amherst.

That's one of ten that they hope to have open in the Western New York area and several others that are hopefully going to open across the country.

Pandya said they hope to announce additional locations in the next 45 days.
