It's officially the last week of March, which means that the warmer weather is just around the corner.

The warmer weather means that Buffalo and Western New York will soon be buzzing with concerts, community events, carnivals and festivals that everyone looks forward to every year.

If you reside in the City of Buffalo, particularly on the city's west side, then you likely know about the annual Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts.

The event has been going on for the past 24 years and features tons of arts and volunteers. It's something many in the Elmwood Village look forward to. It showcases arts of all kinds, along with great food and live music.

Unfortunately, the event has come to an end.

The Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts announced on their Facebook page today that the annual event is coming to an end.

There was no specific reason given to ending the festival but the statement did say that anyone who has applied for the Artisan Market will be refunded electronically.

I know how much this festival means to the people around Elmwood Avenue and it's such a great event that showcases any and all forms of art in the area. That includes live music and great food. Some family and friends have loved this event for years.

Hopefully, another festival or some kind of event can take its place in the near future, but for now, there will be no Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts in the City of Buffalo in 2023.
