Is This The Most Unique Snack Western New York Has Ever Seen?

I have been on a mission to find some of the newest and most unique snacks available in Western New York. A friend sent me this one, and it might take the crown.

We have plenty of unique foods here in Western New York. We were one of the first cities to actually use chicken wings and make them a course on their own. We put salt and kimmelweck seeds on our rolls for roast beef.  We even have a sweet treat we like to call sponge candy.

They just keep coming, too. I have been asking around for suggestions of strange or unique foods that people have seen here in Western New York, and when I got this suggestion, I had to give it a try.  Have you seen chocolate-covered Bugles yet?

What are chocolate-covered Bugles?

They're exactly how they sound.  Take the crispy corn chips shaped like a bugle and simply dip them in chocolate. My friend found them at Platter's Chocolates.  The thing that makes them so good is that they're completely dipped in chocolate.  It's not just the ends or some chocolate on the inside.  The entire thing is drenched in chocolate, and there was a good amount on the inside too!

How did it taste?

As I said, I had to try them, and honestly, they were delicious. It's the perfect amount of sweet and salty, and the amount of chocolate in each one was perfect. They didn't taste as I imagined they would.  To me, they almost tasted like a Kit-Kat.

But they were a 10 out of 10.  They were delicious.

As we sat and ate them though, we couldn't help but think that they could be even better if they put some peanut butter inside the bugles before they dipped them in chocolate. That could take this snack to a whole new level!
