Massive Weather Change For New York State Today
There is a heatwave taking place in New York State and as we start the first full week of July, it is about to be stifling!
This past weekend, we had some of the best weather I can recall for Independence Day. With lower humidity, and plenty of sun, it was ideal.
But this week, the weather turns a little hotter as we ad to the heat index and some areas will be nearing 100 degrees.

The sun will be shining across the Empire State this week and the National Weather Service is calling for extreme heat.
But the heat and humidity will bring in the potential for flash flooding.
"Widespread showers and t-storms will develop ahead of a cold front Monday. Some of these storms could produce strong to damaging winds, and locally heavy rainfall leading to the possibility of flash flooding".
It is very important to keep safety in mind this week. With high heat, stay hydrated and with the flooding potential, stay alert and aware of the conditions around you and NEVER drive through a flooded area.
