
This Is A Conserve Water ALERT Across New York State
Officials in New York State have expanded the drought condition map to include a few more counties. The dry weather continues and as we enter the final week of summer, the forecast is calling for more of the same. You are asked to conserve water if you live in any of these locations that are listed below.
The fall officially arrives around September 20th and although we had a few strong storms and rain move through over the past week or two, overall things are dry. If you own a well, this has to be a particularly difficult year.
According to a post from New York State, there are now 50 counties that are under the current advisory.
The dry stretch that we have had also poses a risk to wooded areas and forests in New York State. At the time of this article being published, the current fire danger risk level was at MODERATE to HIGH!
