The Buffalo Sabres Announce New Anthem Voice
Ahead of the home opener, the Buffalo Sabres shared that there would be some changes this season.
Sabres fans are excited to try the new food that will be offered throughout the season at KeyBank Center, including “The Dominator” which is a quadruple bacon cheeseburger. The Sabres have also announced other food options, such as beef on weck poutine, “The Rachel” sandwich with zesty slaw, the two-foot nacho, and the hot dog of the game.
Not only did the Sabres update their food options for the season, they also announced that one Western New York artist will become the official anthem singer for the US and Canadian anthems at KeyBank Center throughout the season.
That local singer/songwriter is Cami Clune.
Clune rose to fame after she auditioned for NBC’s The Voice Season 19. She made it to the semifinals on the show, and since then she has returned back to Western New York to continue pursuing music.
Locally, you may see Cami Clune performing with her band: Cami Clune & The Fringe. But on the night of any home game for the Buffalo Sabres this year, she will be performing the national anthem at the arena for both the United States and Canada.
Becoming the new anthem singer for the Buffalo Sabres is an incredible feat, but Clune isn’t done yet. She is in the midst of recording her first album (singer songwriter / country rock) and releasing singles one by one.
