Have you had your first cup of the season yet? If not, what are you waiting for? We have moved on from pumpkin-spiced latte season to hot chocolate season already. While the winters can be rough in Western New York, a cup of hot chocolate can make it a little more bearable.

How do you like your hot chocolate?

When we were kids, we were blessed with a grandma who molded chocolate to make a little extra money around the holidays. So she always had chocolate in her house. She would keep a lot of it in the entryway because it was always the perfect temperature there, and as soon as you walked in, you could smell chocolate.

Maybe that's where my love for incredible hot chocolate came from. She would make us some when we were ice skating on her pond or sledding in her backyard and she did it the old fashioned way with real chocolate and steamed milk. it was amazing.

These days, though, there are a number of different ways to get that creamy, delicious taste from a hot chocolate bomb or even a packet.
