Lake effect snow is on the way tonight and overnight into Thursday morning in Western New York. The National Weather Service is saying that it will be a thing ban, but it is certainly going to cause a lot of problems out on the road tonight. There is going to be on average about 3 inches in most towns along the 90, but closer to Springville will see about 4 inches, especially in some of the ski country mountains.

The past week has been a consistent snowfall nearly every day since Thanksgiving in Western New York. The National Weather Service is saying that the lake effect band will move southward into Buffalo through the evening then move deeper into the south towns after midnight.
