Help With Your Heating Bill Is Now Available In Erie County
Even though October has started rather warm and muggy, we all know that sooner or later the colder air will be here in western New York. It may be time to start thinking about paying those heating bills that will be arriving as well.
Because of the pandemic, there may be a bit of a challenge to make ends meet these days. But there is good news for those who may need a little hand up when it comes to keeping the temperature in your home warm and the lights on.
Applications are now being excepted for the Erie County HEAP home energy assistance program.
The application is available in a variety of languages on the Erie County website. There is also a phone number to call if you have any direct questions related to the home energy assistance program that is being offered in every county. That number is 716-858-7644.
The good news is, for at least the next week the temperatures in the Western New York area seem to remain at least at 70° or better! The overnight lows won’t be dipping much below 50. The heat in your home should remain off for the most part for over the next couple of days.
Apply now if you think you will need assistance this fall and winter and you will be good to go by the time the first gas or electric bill arrives after you crank that thermostat up.
